Where's my COE?

The following is a paraphrased transcript of an e-mail thread that transpired over this week with an administrative assistant at Epson:

Hello Lorenzo, I am preparing student's information to send to Epson Japan. Please provide me with the following information found in your passport via e-mail or fax.
Sure, here's the information. Just wondering, what do you need this information for as I already gave it to someone else nearly three weeks ago for my COE application.
Thank you for the information. The reason for this information requirement is the same reason as 3 weeks ago.
I see. So does this mean nothing's happened in three weeks?
I regret tell you that you are right that nothing’s happened in three weeks. The reason for this blank is because we were waiting for a student to renew his passport. Nevertheless, you are going to live and work in Japan for 1 year.

Well, at least they were honest - I'm not any closer to Japan than I was three week ago. They'd better hurry because I seem to be inescapably entering co-op shopping spree mode and my tax return reserves are almost depleted.

Those COEs take FOREVER!

Believe me, I endured the month of... pain.

Well, I am back from Japan as of last Thursday, so my journal is now completely (mostly) complete. I have 10GB of photos so maybe Ill put a few online.

I miss Japan already! The land of the rising sun is for real... they should call Seattle the land of the grey cloudy skies.
